[Advice] How much of an equity gap should Co-founders starting at same time have? (If any gap at all). by xc3llerator in growmybusiness
Remove hours, experience and what each person does - it is irrelevant. Rather focus on the value each person adds to the business.
Not good on law, just a thought.
So they want more NOW for what they MIGHT end up doing LATER, IF everything works out.
If they want majority share or to split they can buy you out - otherwise 50-50. As far as I know, they are trying to take the whole company and not pay for the work and capital you have put in. For the record- I wouldn't want to start a business with someone who is already thinking of how much they can get more than their business partner when (as far as I can tell) you haven't even made a single sale. If they think they are worth so much more - stump up the money to invest and prove it.
